Shihabuddin Muhammad Ghauri: He was born on 1150 in Ghor now present Afghanistan actual name called in history Muizuddin Muhammad Bin Sam. Reign (1202-1206) Muizuddin was given the title of Shihabuddin, and he began to extend the Ghaurid dominions to the east. Sultan ruled until his assassination in 1206 near Damiak,District Jhelum now in present day Pakistan. Sultan Shihabuddin Muhammad Ghori bin Sam conquered Sind in 1182-83 A.D. He sent troops towards Debal and brought the countryside under his domain. Sultan took Multan and Uch in A.D 1175-76 and Daybul in A.D 1182. The historical evidence of the Ghorrid period toghther with the early slave Sultanate period indicates that the rule of these foreigners was restricted to northern and central Sindh. Their rule appears to have extended only to the towns of Bakhar, Siwistan al-Mansurah as no reference is made the towns of lower Sind and Thar regions.
When Sultan Shihabuddin came in to Sind some illegible coins found in the surface layers of the site relate this period to the Delhi Sultans, which was minted in Delhi and also used in Sindh. Other coins found on the surface or in the same level come from the Sultan of Delhi.
These coins continued to constitute, in slightly modified from, the typical emblem of the state, down to the time of Taj-ud-din Ilduz, the Lieutenant of Muhammad bin Sam, eventully independent Sultan of Sind, and likewise that of his opponent and successor Kubachah, another general of the Ghori conquerors of the India, who established himself in Sind about 600 A.H. (1203-4 A.D.).
